Receiving and Warehouse Storage
So you are thinking of ordering some items for your remodeling, and these items will be arriving on different days due to out-of-stock or special orders from other companies, or perhaps you are out of town and decided to buy a piece of furniture for your home here in the Palm Springs area, or you are visiting our beautiful desert and decided to buy a piece of furniture or artwork, but you won’t be leaving the desert for another week. What do you do? This is where our Receiving and Warehouse Storage can help.
At Desert Shipping & Storage we pride ourselves in our ability to offer you the following service options to ensure that we can meet your specific needs.
- We can receive items daily from 8:00 to 5:00 M-F with no appointment necessary.
- Forklift usage is included in every freight shipment received (max weight 2000 lbs.).
- We inspect and notify you of any visible external damage at time of receiving.
- Items are securely stored in our warehouse pending delivery or pick up.
- We can store daily, weekly or on monthly basis depending on your needs.
- Once you are ready to receive your goods we can deliver at your convenience.
- We offer White Glove Delivery Service and debris removal.

We all know how stressful can be trying to ship any large item long distance, like Artwork, Furniture, Antiques, or any bulky item too big for parcel carriers, or perhaps you have a delicate piece you want to ship, but want to make sure is prepped and packed properly? Desert Shipping and Storage can help, we have the experience to handle, protect and ship your items to any city or state, including Canada.

Here at Desert Shipping & Storage, we pride ourselves on our ability to offer you the following service options to ensure that we can meet your specific needs.
- We offer on-site packing services for smaller or delicate items.
- Our full-service pickups include on-site furniture pads to protect items.
- We provide full wood crating options for high-value, sentimental or delicate pieces.
- You choose the delivery option that best fits your need: Curbside or White Glove Delivery.
- We can supply the appropriate packing/materials for international shipping.
- We offer our White Glove Delivery Services (even to locations with limited access).

Schedule a Pickup
After you approve your estimate, we will schedule a pickup appointment. All appointments are two-to-four-hour windows and scheduled between Monday through Friday. Saturday pickups are available, but may incur an additional charge
Pick-Up
Usually, pickups are done at your convenience. If you need your pick-up fast, please call us to check availability. Same day pick-up, onsite packing or onsite crating have additional charges. All our pick-ups are white glove or full service, this means that you do not need to do anything except sign our inventory sheet and we take care of the rest.
Packing
Once we load up and secure your items onto our trucks, they are moved to our warehouse in Indio, CA. where they are carefully packed and/or crated by our highly skilled experts before shipping. This phase is where we protect your goods the best possibly way to prevent any damage on transit. Our goal is to make sure all your items to arrive damage-free. Desert Shipping and Storage also provides a full replacement insurance policy that covers your items from start to finish.
Shipping
Desert Shipping and Storage uses the most reliable Freight Line Trucking Companies in the Industry. These are the companies that transport your goods cross Country. They move loads 24/7, (just like UPS or FedEx) But since these shipments are big and/or heavy, a forklift or pallet jack must be used, which means your items are moved at a less rushed handling procedure, therefore minimizes damages.
Delivery
Desert Shipping and Storage is committed to make your shipping experience easy. Every stage and options we offer can be customized and expedited to suit your needs. Our company can guarantee the delivery date of your shipment or offer short term storage at pick up or destination. Our curbside delivery offers affordability, and the white glove delivery option is very convenient.

You can request our most economical shipping option, which is the curbside delivery option or if you need a full-service delivery that includes white glove delivery, we can offer you that as well. Also, our knowledgeable staff can assist you with international shipping quotes, that includes documentation, and provide customs clearance procedures for most countries. Our experienced sales staff can quickly provide those quotes over the phone or by our contact form. Most domestic shipments take an average of two to three weeks from pick-up to delivery but can be expedited if you need it faster. Of course, everything begins with an estimate, and we would like to hear from you. Call our sales staff to make sure we offer you the best pricing.
White Glove Delivery Services
Here at Desert Shipping and Storage we are proud to rely on and work with our elite network of reliable and reputable companies in the industry. These companies can receive and deliver your goods anywhere in the US and Canada. This option only applies If you opt for a White Glove Delivery Service. By shipping your items directly to them, they can receive, unpack, contact you for a delivery appointment, accomplish a white glove delivery at your home or business and debris removal. This option is very convenient.
Loading & Unloading
Maybe you decided to rent a moving truck and will be driving your items yourself, but now you need the men power to load up your truck and don’t feel comfortable hiring just anybody to handle your items. Desert Shipping and Storage can help, we provide the necessary manpower to handle your loading or unloading, we will even bring our own dollies, hand trucks, ramps, stretch-wrap and even packing supplies if needed.
